The Lega Basket Serie A is making an important leap forward in the evolution of its digital presence, launching a structured path toward greater accessibility across its online platforms. This concrete commitment—supported by Official Advisor Infront and made operational thanks to the technological expertise of Eye-Able, a leading name in the field of digital accessibility—marks a significant step for the League.

Starting today, the official LBA website, legabasket.it, integrates innovative solutions designed to ensure more inclusive navigation in compliance with the latest European standards. This initiative goes far beyond technical adjustments, fully embracing the principles of the European Accessibility Act, the regulation that will come into full effect on June 28, 2025, requiring organizations and businesses to guarantee digital services accessible to everyone, including users with visual, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

“This is not just about complying with a directive: we want to be active promoters of a more open and responsible digital culture,” said Umberto Gandini, President of LBA. “Sport must be for everyone—also and especially in the digital world. This evolution is part of our broader journey of innovation and inclusion.”

Alessandro Giacomini, Managing Director of Infront Italy, stated: “As Official Advisor of LBA, we are increasingly convinced that the impact of Italian basketball depends not only on increasingly spectacular competitions, but also—and above all—on attention to the needs of all fans and supporters. We are very pleased to have found a capable and reliable technological partner who has helped us make the digital world of the LBA increasingly accessible.”

“Digital accessibility is not just a technical requirement—it is a fundamental value of inclusion and innovation. We are excited to collaborate with Lega Basket Italiana to help make the digital space open to everyone,” emphasized Lorenzo Scumaci, Country Manager Italy at Eye-Able.

Thanks to the collaboration with Eye-Able, the League’s website is now equipped with a suite of tools designed to adapt content consumption to the different needs of users: high contrast, enhanced reading functions, keyboard navigation, text-to-speech, and much more. Simple-to-use solutions that have a real impact on people’s lives. The initiative also sends a strong signal from LBA: accessibility is no longer an option but a central element in designing digital experiences.
