A New Leadership Team for Eye-Able: Oliver Berchtold Appointed CEO

Eye-Able enters a new phase of growth

Today marks an important milestone in the history of Eye-Able.

We are proud to announce that Oliver Berchtold has joined Eye-Able as Chief Executive Officer, taking over the operational leadership of the company with the full support of our founders, board, and leadership team.

Over the past six years, Eye-Able has grown from a university project in Würzburg into one of Europe's leading digital accessibility providers. What started with four people and a shared vision has become an international company with more than 150 employees, over 5,000 customers, and operations in more than ten countries.

As the company continues to expand, we believe this is the right moment to strengthen our leadership with proven international experience that can help scale our impact even further.

Why Oliver?

Oliver brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience in international technology businesses.

At SoftwareOne, he progressed over 22 years through a range of senior leadership roles before being appointed Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he was responsible for the company's global services and software and cloud delivery organisation, leading more than 6,000 employees across more than 70 countries while helping scale the business into one of the world's leading software and cloud solutions providers.

His experience spans operating model design, service delivery, platform development, business transformation, and strategic growth across private, publicly listed, and global organisations.

For Eye-Able, however, this decision goes beyond experience and credentials. Oliver has supported Eye-Able for years. He understands the business and believes deeply in the potential of accessibility as a driver of innovation, inclusion, and sustainable growth.

A leadership team built for the future

Oliver's appointment follows the recent arrival of Harald Holberg as CFO. Harald has spent more than 20 years leading finance organisations in private equity-backed international SaaS businesses, guiding them through periods of rapid growth, operational scaling, and multiple successful exits, and helping growth-stage companies become transaction-ready organisations. His expertise is particularly valuable as Eye-Able enters its next phase of expansion.

Together, Oliver and Harald bring the operational, financial, and strategic leadership needed to support Eye-Able's continued growth and international development.

"Having worked with high-growth companies at various stages of their development, I know that sustainable value creation depends on more than growth alone. It requires scalable structures, transparency, operational excellence, and an international leadership team focused on delivering exceptional value for customers. Together with Oliver, I am excited to help build the foundation for Eye-Able's next phase of international growth while staying true to the company's mission, culture, and entrepreneurial spirit."

Harald Holberg, CFO

This is not a change in mission. It is an investment in execution. As Eye-Able continues to grow internationally, our focus remains clear: helping organisations make accessibility an integral part of their digital strategy and customer experience.

Oliver's vision

During his first weeks, Oliver's focus will be on listening, learning, and building relationships across the organisation.

His leadership philosophy combines ambition with operational excellence: creating a clear North Star that teams can rally around, while ensuring consistent execution every step of the way.

"Eye-Able has built something remarkable: a passionate team, a strong mission, and a leading position in one of the most important technology and societal challenges of our time. My focus will be to build on this foundation, create clarity around our priorities, and help scale our impact across Europe and beyond. Great visions matter, but success comes from execution. Plan the work. Work the plan."

Oliver Berchtold, CEO, Eye-Able

What stays the same

While the leadership structure evolves, the foundations of Eye-Able remain unchanged.

The founders continue to be actively involved in the company, supporting strategy, innovation, product development, customer relationships, and long-term growth. Most importantly, our mission remains the same: Empower Everyone.

Because accessibility is not optional. It is the foundation of a digital world that works for everyone. And with Oliver joining the team, we are more excited than ever about what comes next.

Welcome to Eye-Able, Oliver. The next chapter starts now. 🚀
