Eye-Able Industry Accessibility Index — Methodology, Transparency & Liability

Data Source & Anonymisation:

The scores are based on aggregated, fully anonymised results from automated WCAG 2.2 audits carried out within the Eye-Able client network (>50,000 websites; continuously updated). Each industry category comprises a statistically valid number of websites; it is technically impossible to draw conclusions about individual organisations. This is not a public web crawl.

Score calculation & ranking:

Industry scores are weighted averages across all assigned websites according to WCAG 2.2 compliance levels (A, AA, AAA) and EAA-relevant assessment steps. The qualitative ratings (“Critical”, “Needs Work”, “Good”, “Excellent”) are general indicators of the industry average. They do not constitute statements regarding the EAA compliance of individual companies or websites and do not constitute legal advice.
